About The Client
The Gambia Sign Language interpreter project is small and focussed, and led by volunteers. It aims to support Deaf Gambians’ access to family, education, employment and health care, through funding the provision of, and increasing the quality and numbers of Gambian Sign Language Interpreters. There are currently only 4 interpreters for the entire Deaf community there.
About The Work
We currently support the Gambian Interpreter project on a voluntary basis, managing their social media programme across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the aim to widen reach of their story and drive donations. The work includes –
Day to day Twitter, Facebook and Instagram management
Content suggestion and strategy
Hashtag analysis to get wider
Social listening and responding
Graphic creation for feeds
“I honestly couldn’t have managed with Karan’s support. Whilst I’ve focussed on the work, Karan has set up and managed all our social media accounts, posting content, increasing our number of followers, and ultimately converting followers and likes into donations. Karan’s made easy and productive something that I’m not skilled at, and would have taken my time away from what I needed to do.”.
